Bhrigu Lake sits at 4,267m above Manali, believed in Hindu mythology to be where sage Bhrigu meditated. The surrounding meadows, known locally as the 'garden of gods,' are carpeted with alpine flowers in summer and offer sweeping views of the Pir Panjal range.
The lake's deep blue waters ringed by snowfields in a high meadow bowl are unlike any landscape near Manali. Accessible enough for beginners but high enough for genuine Himalayan atmosphere.
